Special to the Times
The Boone County Heritage Museum continues to attract out-of-state visitors on a daily basis.
Since the spring opening date of March 1st and continuing through April 30 visitors from the following states have signed the register and toured the museum: Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Maine, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Illinois, Louisiana, Washington, California, Wisconsin, Utah, Idaho, Mississippi, Kansas, Florida, South Carolina with others from Ontario, Canada and Santiago, Chile. These visitors joined many from all over Arkansas, whose enthusiasm for museums was sparked by viewing the museum's web site at www.bchrs.org or were guided by the local tourism offices.
Since genealogy is one of the nation’s most popular hobbies family history researchers can find a wide array of information at the museum, and also tour ten rooms filled with historical artifacts and memorabilia.
Located on the corner of South Cherry Street and Central Avenue, the museum is open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
